Adventure begins with drive from Kathmandu to reach low mid hills around Nepal Mid West and then following the raging Marysangdi River for some days on main Annapurna circuit trails then leaving the popular route heading towards total wilderness into hidden areas of Nar & Phu.

Around Nar-Phu visiting unexplored areas where few trekkers seldom venture this wonderful areas, walking around this part of the world will be truly enjoyable on least frequented trails in pure tranquil and ambiance of mountains and wild landscapes.

Finally our exciting time on Nar Phu ends crossing a high Kang-la pass to join back on the main trekking trails of Annapurna circuit at Manang village, with wonderful time visiting its old monasteries and interesting villages similar to Tibetan traditions and culture of Buddhist religion.

After Manang heading towards to cross another highest pass of the adventure over Thorang-La above 5,416 m high with sweeping panorama of Chulu-Damodar Himal with Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya, then heading towards Lower Mustang at holy Muktinath to conclude our marvelous adventure at Jomsom where a scenic short flight takes you to beautiful Pokhara by the calm Phewa lake.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: On arrival in Kathmandu meet our staff for transfer to hotel

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, a quiet environment after getting refreshed join at main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on treks-hotels with necessary information. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainment

Day 02: Drive to Syange 1,460 m via Besisar town on Nepal Mid West highway - 07 hrs.

Morning as per group size either by car, coach or bus an interesting overland journey on Nepal’s most popular and busy highway, heading towards Nepal Mid West to reach Lamjung district at Besisar, headquarter town of Lamjung area and then following Marysangdi River upstream to Syange village for overnight stop.

Day 03: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hours.

From Syange morning leads to a climb at Jagat village unto Chamje village and then crossing over Marysangdi River into forested areas, as walk proceeds on gradual path above the river to reach at Tal Besi, entering into Manang district as air gets cooler from here on with gain in altitude slowly. Walk leads to cross over the river with few hours of nice walk reaching at lovely Dharapani village for overnight stop, where the trail of Manaslu joins

Day 04: Trek to Kotto 2,670m - 05 hours.

As air gets cooler walking into nice forested areas of tall rhododendron-pines and fir tree lines with views of snow capped peaks of Manaslu-Lamjung and Annapurna, slowly walk leads to more Buddhist cultural areas at Bagarchap-Danaque and Timang. From Timang with possible lunch breaks overlooking mountain views, afternoon walk leads near Marysangdi River and into cool shade of alpine woods to reach at Kotto village for overnight halt, which is close to Chame headquarter and administrative town of Manang areas. As time allows one can walk to Chame town before heading into pure wilderness at Nar & Phu areas.

Day 05: Trek to Meta 3,560 m -06 hrs.

After Koto our route leads north away from main Annapurna circuit trail for a week heading north towards Nar & Phu villages within hidden areas of Upper Manang valley which is close from Tibet border walking into a country of blue sheep’s and snow leopards. Trek leads into narrow valley with forest of pines and rhododendron trees, then reaching nice pasture fields with huts and sheds of Yak herders and in the gorge formed by Pisang Peak and Kang-guru Himal lower basin, walk continues following Nar-Phu River upstream to reach Dharmashala a small farm village with refreshing stops, walking further for an hour to reach at Meta for overnight halt in a quaint small farm village

Day 06: Trek to Kyang 4,100m - 06 hrs

Morning walk leads far north heading towards Phu village around remote and isolated area of dry and, arid landscapes, on walks might spot wildlife’s like Blue Sheep’s, Musk deer’s and other wild animals including elusive Snow Leopard. Walk continues to Kyang for overnight stop after an interesting day, Kyang with dozen houses of Tibetan style with fascinating Buddhist culture.

Day 07: Trek to Phu 4,580m - 05 hrs.

Today our adventure leads to our main destination at Phu village, morning leads to Phu River following upstream for some time and then descending back on the same river, and then climb to reach into a gorge for some time and then uphill walk entering a wide glacial valley at Phu, a village of strong Tibetan influence with old culture, traditions and Buddhist religion.

Day 08: Exploration day in Phu visit Samdu Choling and Tashi Monastery

Today rest at Phu, a perfect place for acclimatization and short walks around Phu village visiting impressive Tashilkhang, Samdu Choling Monastery and Kyauchyu waterfalls nearby. Phu Village with about30 houses for 100 to 150 local inhabitants.

Day 09: Trek to Naar 4,110m - 06 hrs.

From Phu village journey leads back on same trail for few hours descending to a narrow gorge at Phu khola, from here a slow climb to reach at Yughat, a small village with mani, chortens and Buddhist shrines, then finally reaching a flat field at Nar Phedi for overnight stop. Nargaon in comparison with Phu looks similar but smaller due to its remoteness with high altitude terrain of dry windswept land.

Day 10: Trek to Kang-La Base Camp 4,530 m - 05 hrs

After Nar-Gaonwalk heads to remote wilderness, away from human settlement for few days, an interesting walk for few hours then with short ups and downs on rocky and arid path, passing cattle herders shelters with grazing field heading further west followingTemdenzon khola into a wild surrounding with views of snow peaks and finally reaching at Kang la pass base for overnight camp at 4,530 meters altitude.

Day 11: Cross Kangla pass 5,322m and descend to Ngawal 3,650 m - 07 hrs

An early morning start to cross Kang-la at above 5,322 m high, climbs leads on high steep slope for few hours facing stunning views of Pisang Peak and Chulu Far East Peak, as climb reaches on top of Kang-La, rewarding with marvelous panorama of Annapurna massif mountain range which includes Chulu Peaks, Lamjung Himal and adjoining peaks of Annapurna range. Walk from here on downhill path to Ngawal via Julu village on route Manang village back at main route of Annapurna circuit trail. Ngwal a small farm village located above Manang valley similar to Nar Phu people of Tibetan origin with surnames as Gurung and Ghale like other hill tribes of Annapurna region.

Day 12: Trek to Manang 3,450m- 05 hrs.

After Nar Phu crossing Kang-la pass that separates away from main Manang villages, walk today leads to main Manang villages on scenic and popular Annapurna circuit route, walk leads downhill to Humde village, then walk to Braga village and visit its old monastery with ancient artifacts of old statued of various Buddha with mind blowing panorama of snow capped mountains. After a wonderful time in the monastery, an hour walk leads to main Manang village for overnight.

Day 13: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 06hrs.

With enjoyable stop at Manang village, morning walks leadsto Yak Kharka, a small settlement, actually a summer pasture and grazing fields of Yaks and other cattle’s, morning leads to a slow uphill on wider trail facing views of Gangapurna-Annapurna II – III with Chulupeaks. After a great scenic walks reaching at Yak Kharkafor overnight and lunch stop with time in the afternoon for rest and short walks on this peaceful environment with views of mountains.

Day 14: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.

Morning with wonderful scenery of mountains, another short day walks but with a difference as the altitude gains higher to reach at the base of Thorang-La pass at Phedi or High Camp, our route leads North west crossing a small stream with climb, where sometimes one can spot some wild-life of antelopes Himalayan Thar or mountain goats. Walk finally reaches at Phedi with few lodges, after a rest here a steep climb on zig-zag path for an hour to our overnight stop at High Camp of Thorang-La pass.

Day 15: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.

Today our big day of the adventure as walk leads to a winding up from one ridge to another can be quite strenuous due to high altitude gain, overlooking views of peaks as our route leads finally on top of Thorang-la pass, the highest point of the trek. Festooned with thousands of Buddhist prayer flags with board with heights and name of Thorang-La offers incredible views of Dhaulagiri-Damodar and Mustang Himal with Annapurna and Chulu peaks, with time here for rest and then downhill to reach at holy place of Muktinath. Regarded as one of the holiest pilgrimage place for Hindu as well for some Buddhist visit the temple premises with 108 water spouts, which is one of the tributaries and source of Kaligandaki River. The name Muktinath comes from ancient Sanskrit word means place for Liberation or Freedom, a high spot with grand views of Dhaulagiri range of mountains.

Day 16: Trek to Jomsom 2, 715 m- 04hours

From Muktinath rest of the trek is much easier on gradual and downhill walks with drop of 1,200 m to reach Kaligandaki river valley, from the valley floor walk on windswept Kaligandaki river valley to reach at Jomsom, a headquarter town of Mustang district with a small an airstrip on the shelf of Kaligandaki River. Jomsom and Kaligandaki areas, famous for delicious apple and fine products cider, brandy and juice an interesting town of Thakali people to explore around, located on old Trans Himalaya Salt / Caravan route of Nepal and Tibet beyond Upper Mustang.

Day 17: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara and transfer to hotel by Phewa Lake

Morning transfer to Jomsom airport for short scenic flight to land at Pokhara, during air fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of mountains with sweeping landscapes, from Pokhara airport transfer to your hotel by the calm Phewa Lake for overnight stop. Pokhara, a popular touristic destination blessed with natural beauty and scenery of mountains-hills and lakes.

Day 18: Drive or fly to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotels.

Morning transfer into a vehicles either by car-coach or in tourist bus (as per the size of the group), for overland journey back to Kathmandu with scenic views of mountains, green scenery of hills and farm fields within nice villages and towns as drive brings you back at hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu.
