Kosi-Tappu Wild Life Reserves and Safari, a famous sanctuary for water-bird life where you can spend a day or two and more in this exotic jungle setting located on an island of great wide Kosi River feed by various glacial rivers of Nepal Himalaya that ends into Ganges further down south in India.
A paradise for bird life, especially for water birds from swan, florican, storks, egrets, ducks, porached, king fisher and this reserves famous for rare and endangered Arna the wild buffalo found only within this areas.
Starting our wild-life adventure with 45 minutes to land at Biratnagar city airport, located South East Nepal on Terai belt the low land of the country, and then taking few hour drives to Kosi Tappu Wild Life Reserve where you can enjoy for two days or more with exciting Jungle Safari.
Kosi-Tappu Wild Life Reserve with an area of 175 sq. kms. The reserve defined by eastern and western embankments of the rivers; this place is Nepal’s only Birds Sanctuary.
The reserves offers important habitat for a different species of wild life, the last surviving population of ‘Wild Buffalo or Arna’ are found here, the reserve is also popular for many kinds of species of water birds.
